In addition to other restrictions, the PA Department of State, in consultation with the Governor and the Department of Banking and Securities, is prohibiting “in -person inspections, appraisals, final walk-throughs, and title insurance activities” on residential real estate contracts entered into after March 6^th, 2020 until the PA Emergency Disaster Declaration is lifted for the Commonwealth.

Other less onerous restrictions permitting these activities related to contracts executed prior to March 6^th are set forth in the Memorandum attached.

We will be working with our national MBA and PA lenders to deal with this critical and overly restrictive pronouncement impacting essential services for our industry and the consumers it serves.
