Dr. Benjamin S. Carson has been confirmed by the United States Senate as the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. As expected, the republicans all voted in favor and the democrats voted against, with a few exceptions.

The Mortgage Bankers Association of New Jersey supported the nomination in a letter to the Committee prior to the hearing on Dr. Carson's nomination (which our national association did as well).
